Protech Rubber Products Ltd. is a private Alberta company specializing in manufacturing rubber 
products using virgin recycled rubber tire crumb.

We also supply the same high quality recycled rubber tire crumb we use in the manufacture of our mats for use in playgrounds and daycare facilities, as well as equine arenas and anywhere non-compacting soft footing is required.

RECYCLING RUBBER TIRES

The recycling of rubber tires makes a valuable contribution to the environment by reducing landfill
and eliminating tire dumps that are a health hazard. Amongst other environmental and health problems caused by tire dumps; the collection of stagnant water in abandoned tires encourages mosquito breeding areas. West Nile Virus for example, is primarily spread by mosquitoes and is an increasing health risk for North Americans. Additionally, large collections of tires are an extremely dangerous fire hazard. Tire fires are noted for their toxicity, ferocity and difficulty to extinguish.
